Following widespread condemnation of his actions, singer Portable delivered an emotional apology, breaking down in tears as he sought to make amends for assaulting a preacher
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ singer faced intense criticism after slapping a man who came to preach at his bar in Ogun state, with gospel artist Testimony Jaga issuing a three-day ultimatum for Portable to apologize.
Portable broke down in tears, kneeling amidst a supportive gathering at his bar, as he expressed deep sorrow and repentance, accompanied by chants of “God is the King, Jesus is here.””
“I want to say this to all pastors around the world. I am your son. My brother here is your son. Whatever wrong he has done, we are sorry,” said Jaga, who was present at Portable’s bar.
Earlier, last Monday, Portable had publicly apologized, stating that he would not have slapped the preacher if he had known he was a “true man of God.”
The singer admitted he lashed out because he believed the man had come to his bar to cause him spiritual harm.
