Bookmakers were proved wrong as English Premiership League leaders Liverpool FC were stunned and kicked out of the FA cup by Plymouth Argyle.
In a match dominated by Liverpool team B players, the reds succumbed to the lowly rated Plymouth Argyle when it conceded a penalty in the 51st minute of the game which was Cooley slotted home by Hardie.
In spite of bringing in Nunez in the 58 minutes, it was Hardie who hit the post again and nearly put the game to bed.
Plymouth were made to work harder to preserve their lead as the match extended to longer extra time due to time wasted.
Diego Jota was also introduced to the game but was unable to find his magic as Liverpool went on to lose the match by 1:0.
Earlier, Chelsea FC lost away from home by 2:1 to Brighton FC yesterday in the 4th round of the FA cup and are out of this year’s competition.
