PEGA and Friends Foundation: All Set for “Eko Akete 2024”

The much awaited Prince Ekunola Gbenga Abraham  and Friends Foundation aka PEGA annual charity event is set to hit Nigeria’s centre of excellence, Lagos tomorrow.

This year’s event tagged “Eko Akerele 2024” is expected to be the mother of all as it marks the tenth year of the formation of the Foundation.

The Director of the Foundation who doubles as the Founder, Prince Gbenga Ekunola disclosed that the essence of the Foundation is to continue to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged and support the vulnerable ones.

The Pahayi-born  Gbenga, also known as “ Yewa Mandela” expressed further on the need to cater for those in need in order to make life more meaningful to everyone.

“We have people in the hospitals unable to settle their bills, we have many families, unable to pay their children school fees and we have many communities lacking basic amenities with nobody to provide for their needs. These and many more are what we stand for at PEGA and Friends Foundation”. He concluded.

Meanwhile,  members have started arriving Lagos state the venue of this year’s event. In spite of the festive season, friends and well wishers have been trooping in into their hotels in readiness for the event which kicks off tomorrow 26th December, 2024.

Some of the activities lined up for the 10th year programme include medical outreach, visiting and donations to orphanage, the aged and widows, markets, motor parks and state hospital.

Furthermore, a Jumaat service is slated for Friday, while members engage in a  mega get-together-party thereafter and  conclude  with a friendly football match and general thanksgiving service on Sunday.

This year’s event is being supported by members, friends, associations and various organizations including the Inkline Tines and Seun Abati and Friends Foundation (SAB & Frieds Foundation).
