How Widow Donates $1 Billion To Cover Students’ Entire Medical School Fee

Albert Einstein College of Medicine

A 93-year-old widow, Ruth Gottesman has donated a sum of $1billion to a medical college in New York, Albert Einstein College of Medicine with the aim of covering all tuition fees to be paid by students.

Mrs Gottesman, who is an ex professor at Einstein and a luminary in the field of learning disabilities, made this donation on Tuesday.

According to her the donation was aimed to make free tuition available to all students going forward in the college.

Also, as gathered, the donation was in courtesy of her late husband, David Gottesman, also known as Sandy.

David, who was a protégé of Warren Buffett, had also made an early investment in Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate Mr. Buffett built.

Students of the school have therefore expressed excitement as they begin to enjoy the free education.

With tuition fees no longer a barrier to entry, aspiring medical professionals from diverse backgrounds can now pursue their dreams without the burden of financial constraints.
