EFCC Apprehends 17 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Abuja

The Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, said its has arrested seventeen suspected internet fraudsters on March 1, 2024, in Abuja.

The EFCC who disclosed this on their X account (formally twitter) said that they were arrested in the Gwagwalada axis of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja in a sting operation, following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet fraud.

Although the commission didn’t disclose the name of the suspects but said its Commission recovered four cars, 22 phones and two laptops at the scene.

The Commission however said that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
