Nigerian striker Victor Boniface expresses euphoria after making his highly anticipated UEFA Champions League debut for Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface who played a key role in Leverkusen’s commanding 4-0 win against Feyenoord at Rotterdam’s Stadion Feyenoord on Thursday evening.
After being substituted out in the 62nd minute for Patrick Schick, Boniface reflected on his “dream come true” Champions League debut, nostalgically recalling his youth in Akure, Nigeria, where he watched UCL matches for just 30 naira at the 323 Army Barracks.
