In a bid to put smiles on the faces of vulnerable children, Pega and Friends Foundation, a non-governmental organisation PEGA and Friends Foundation recently feted children in Lagos, Ogun and Kwara states with a heartfelt outreach.

In a heartwarming gesture of charity, Prince Ekunola Gbenga, founder of the foundation explained that his mission was to spread joy and provide essential support to those in need, especially vulnerable children and students across the nation.
Places visited include;
1, (i) Muslim Primary School, Badagry Lagos (Special Unit)
(ii) Local Authority Primary School, Ajara Badagry Lagos (Special Unit)
2, Community Primary School, Gbagede Amoyo, Ilorin Kwara State.
3, Community Primary School, Eggua Yewa North Local Government, Ogun State
During his visit to Schools in Badagry, Lagos State, Ekunola addressed the students with warmth and compassion, stating that “this season is a time for giving and sharing love and we want to remind you that you are valued and that there are people who care about your future”.

While advising the students about various opportunities waiting for them to explore in life, Ekunola urged the pupils to face their studies, be of good behaviour and pursue their dreams with vigour.
In appreciation to Pega and Friends Foundation for organising the fun-packed children’s day event,
The Education Secretary, Hon. M.A.B Adebayo of Badagry LGA, commended the foundation for their show of affection and love to the children, stating that the children would forever remember this wonderful experience.
At the Community Primary School, Gbagede Amoyo, Ilorin Kwara State, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as Pega and Friends Foundation team distributed donations that included educational materials, food items and drinks.
In his speech, the founder stated that “every child deserves a chance to dream and succeed. Our goal is to uplift these children and provide them with the resources they need to thrive”.

He charged them to hold on to their studies and give it all it takes to be successful saying, “Education is a powerful tool and with the right support, you can become anything you want to be.”
Meanwhile, it was fun galore at the Community Primary School, Eggua Yewa North Local Government, Ogun State during the celebration of this year’s edition of the Children’s Day event.
The Foundation thrilled participants with several programmes including a live musical performance several games and activities to make the event a memorable one.
On the impact of his outreach, Ekunola explained that, “This initiative is not just about the gifts we bring; it is about creating a sense of community and belonging. We want these children to know that they are not alone, especially during the holiday season.”

In his response, the headteacher, Community Primary School, Eggua, Ogun State, Mr Oyelami Sunday appreciated the Pega and Friends Foundation for their support in the successful execution of the children’s day celebration.
According to him, “we really appreciate all the brands that have demonstrated their love for children by supporting this event; we say a big thank you to you all and most especially, PEGA and Friends Foundation “.

Furthermore, the Headteacher, Community Primary School, Gbagede Amoyo, Ilorin Kwara State, Alhaja Oladimeji Alimat Adenike has called on other corporate institutions to emulate Pega and Friends Foundation to support the annual event as a way of showing their love for children.

Alhaja Oladimeji disclosed that this gesture during the visit of the Foundation to the school in commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day celebration .
While appreciating Prince Ekunola for remembering the school, the headteacher urged other charity organizations to emulate PEGA and Friends foundation in promoting social responsibility within the society, describing the visit of the Foundation as the first of its kind being witnessed by the school.
