Military neutralizes 4 bandits, saves 20 in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army’s ongoing anti-banditry operations in Kaduna State have yielded impressive results, with troops neutralizing four bandits and rescuing 20 hostages in recent separate operations. This demonstrates the military’s capability and determination to protect citizens.

Kaduna State’s Commissioner for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan, announced yesterday that troops from Operation Forest Sanity successfully conducted a clearance operation in the Alawa area of Birnin Gwari Local Government. During the operation, they neutralized two bandits and recovered several items, including firearms: 2 AK-47 rifles and 3 magazines,vehicles: 3 motorcycles and communication Equipment: 1 Baofeng radio

Aruwan reports another victory for Operation Whirl Punch. Acting on credible intelligence, Sector 6 troops laid an ambush around Nakwakina village, neutralizing two bandits and injuring others who escaped.

Aruwan noted that two motorcycles, a cutlass, and a mobile phone were recovered during the operation.

Also, troops of Operation Safe Haven have arrested five notorious gunrunners and recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition in an intelligence-driven operation in Plateau State.

Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralised four bandits and rescued 20 kidnapped victims in separate operations across Birnin Gwari and Giwa Local Government areas of Kaduna State.

The Overseeing Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs,  Samuel Aruwan, broke the news yesterday.

According to Aruwan in a statement, troops of Operation Forest Sanity conducted clearance in the Alawa area of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, where they encountered and neutralised two bandits.  “Two AK-47 rifles, three magazines, three motorcycles, and a Baofeng radio were recovered,” he added.

In another operation, Aruwan said the troops of Sector 6, Operation Whirl Punch, carrying out fighting patrols around Nakwakina village in Giwa LGA acted  on credible intelligence, and laid an ambush and neutralised two bandits, while others fled with gunshot wounds.

Aruwan noted that two motorcycles, a cutlass, and a mobile phone were recovered during the operation.
