GWR: Kogi Man Embarks On 200Hours Ironing Marathon

200hr marathon ironing

A Man identify as Dauda Abdulfatai, has embarked on a 200 hours ironing marathon after receiving a confirmation email from the Guinness World Record

Dauda who started the marathon on Wednesday morning at Off Ajaokuta Road, Ganaja Village, Lokoja, Kogi State has completed 80 hours out of the proposed 200 hours for the marathon.

His goal is to break the existing record of a cleaning company manager, Gareth Sanders, of the United Kingdom.

Recall that Sanders, who has the record of ironing for 100 hours non stop, broke the record in 2015 after ironing around 2,000 items and going flat-out for nearly 100 hours.

Last year, Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey, widely known as Hilda Baci set the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), clocking an impressive time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
